Copywriters are to me who teachers are to Oprah.
I believe every business can benefit from having a great copywriter. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to have a conversation with my friend Lauren Jefferson of FocusCopy, she’s a great copywriter.
Lauren always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur, what she didn’t expect is the path she would take to get there or that she would end up being the owner of a copywriting company that impacts the brands of hundreds of business owners. That’s how it works sometimes, your purpose will find you. Listen as we talk about her journey, what she’s learned along the way, and all the ways copy can help you grow and elevate your company’s brand.
About Lauren: Lauren Jefferson is the Co-Founder and CEO of FocusCopy, a copywriting and content writing firm based in Houston, TX. As a graduate and now a mentor of the University of Houston’s Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, Lauren has studied and put into practice how entrepreneurs find success at length – including common (and not so common) mistakes to avoid. Today, the FocusCopy team caffeinates clients’ brand messaging to energize their business’s target audience to take action and become paying customers. More than the copy, she positions herself as her clients’ strategic partner where she helps them grow and scale their businesses. Always finger-tapping across the keyboard with a hot cup of coffee within reach, she enjoys connecting with entrepreneurs and bringing their brand voices to life.
